Flag Season Ends; Arena Season Begins!
Congrats to our 2012 Colts Flag team, who finished the season tied for 5th place out of 15 teams. Great Job boys.... you beat our Rivals (GameTime 33-20) to finish your careers as Colts on the winning side, and we also beat the Thunderbirds - handing them their first loss in two years! As Sixth Graders, you have had fine careers as Colts, and we wish you the best of luck moving forward with School Ball... but no matter what team you play for, you will always be Colts...
In addition to coaching the two Crew teams in Arena 6th and 7th Grade, I was also asked to take over the Pool Players in the 4th/5th Grade this season... and I'm pleased to say I was really surprised at the quality of players we have on the team... we should be one of the first pool teams to actually compete for the Championship!
For the new group of Colts, be sure to bookmark this website... it is our official home base, and here you can find game highlights, news, and player stats.

Another Winning Tackle Season Ends

Congratulations to the boys for finishing with another winning season! Despite a heart-breaking 14-12 Double Overtime loss to the Dawgs, it was a great season, and we played one of our best games - be sure to read about the final write up in the Team Report.
Best wishes to the boys as they end their careers of Rec League Ball with the Colts. For all the ups and downs, they have never had to endure a losing season - and yes, I am proud of that.
The sixth grade season is always one of the most fun, because the boys can really begin to display the skills they have learned over the previous years. It is also one of the most difficult seasons, because the competition is usually pretty good across the league, as the lesser boys have dropped out over the years, and only the better players remain on most teams. This season was certainly not different than expected. While we might have let one or two games slip away, overall I think both statistically (see Team Stats page) and mentally, the boys showed they had the right stuff. I look forward to seeing everyone in their jerseys one more time at our annual end-of season team celebration at Gazebo Burgers in a couple of weeks! Stand by for more details! Just remmeber boys - you'll always be Colts!
